CJ Students Step Up and Give Back

On December 1st, a group of Criminal Justice students woke up early to volunteer with Shop with a Cop. The event was coordinated through the Michigan State University American Criminal Justice Association (ACJA), a student organization dedicated to the advancement of professionalism in all areas of criminal justice.

For its 15th year of operation, the Shop With A Cop event took place at the Walmart in the Eastwood Towne Center. Shop With A Cop provides local children with $100 for their Christmas shopping and pairs them with local law enforcement officers from agencies across Mid-Michigan. Volunteers assisted by wrapping presents the children bought and serving the children and their paired law enforcement officers lunch.
