Meagan began the Criminal Justice doctoral program in 2016 and is a recipient of a University Distinguished Fellowship. Her research focuses on public perceptions of/reactions to extremist and mass-casualty violence in the United States. She is a research assistant for two open-source U.S. crime event databases: the Extremist Crime Database (ECDB) and School Shooting Database (SSDB). In her free time, Meagan serves as the 2019-2020 President of Michigan State’s Council of Graduate Students (COGS).
